Margaret E. Clarke

Executive Director (ex-officio) of the Sinneave Family Foundation

Dr. Clarke directs the day-to-day activities of the Foundation as its executive director.

Dr. Clarke is also the Trust holder of the Fraser Mustard Chair in Childhood Development at the University of Calgary where she is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Clarke serves on the National Expert Advisory Committee, Centres of Excellence for Children’s Well-Being and the Board of the Alberta Centre for Child, Family and Community Research, and was Chair of the Alberta Autism Expert Panel.

Dr. Clarke has been working as a clinician specializing in development disabilities such as autism for over 25 years. She teaches and supervises many students from medicine, nursing, psychology and education as part of her strong commitment to inter-professional education.

Dr. Clarke was recently named one of the top 100 physicians of the century by the Alberta Medical Association and received a Centennial Medal in recognition of her unique contributions to the field of child health and development in Alberta.
