Lonnie Zwaigenbaum Ph.d.

Dr. Zwaigenbaum is a developmental pediatrician and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta, where he holds the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation Endowed Chair in Autism Research. He completed a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at McMaster University. Dr. Zwaigenbaum's research focuses on early development in autism, including early identification, screening and diagnosis. Dr. Zwaigenbaum is the principal investigator of the Canadian Infant Sibling Study, which focuses on early developmental trajectories in autism, and also contributes to studies of genetics and early brain development in autism. He is the chair of an international consortium of investigators following infants at increased risk of autism (the ‘Baby Siblings Research Consortium').
